Mark Vodery

About Me

Mark Vodery began singing in local Philadelphia Jazz Clubs, after winning several open mic contests. Upon moving to Harlem, he auditioned for television's "Showtime At The Apollo". He earned a spot and went on to win with a soulful rendition of "Everything Must Change." Instead of record labels knocking on his door, Mark found himself working a day job and perfecting his craft at night. Stints at Wilsons, CafeWha, and the Soul Cafe have provided venues for Mark to develop into an engaging, soulful artist.<----Did I write that? I think you get the picture. I am one of many artists, hustling in New York, who feels that I have something unique to offer. Music has kept me "above water" so many times, and I'll never stop performing. Ever!! Even if it comes down to singing in a light blue tux at a 1 star hotel in Jersey (It's been close to that, believe me). We all do God a disservice if we don't use our gifts, no matter what they may be. You can catch my show monthly at various spot dates in NYC.SUPPORT LIVE SOULFUL MUSIC!
