About Me

Born on the bayou. Graduated from both Harvard and Yale. Worked in the concert promotion business. Started the KISS Army. Worked in radio forever. Now, am the better half of "The Love Doctors", a talk show that broadcasts from WZZR in West Palm Beach, Florida. "Not your Father's talk show," sums up the show in one phrase. As each NON-SCREENED call comes in, Dr. Rich (the host) asks, "What is on YOUR mind?" Show topics range from the serious to the bizarre. . . one caller will ask a pointed question about Bosnia, the next will belch into the phone and hang up! It depends on your perspective, but the Love Doctors could be either the best and most humorous thing you've ever heard, or the absolute worst - but... YOU ARE STILL LISTENING, AREN'T YOU? Some of the appeal of the show are callers to the show. Unlike most radio talk shows there are no phone screeners on this show, allowing any and all to participate. With NO time limit to the calls, Dr. Rich uses his authority as host to handle the callers any way he chooses. During certain "Special Events," the Love Doctors will have guests on the show, although this is the exception and not the rule. Dr. Rich's interviewing ability manages to keep the audience entertained and well-informed. Previous guests include Porn Star Ron Jeremy, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Kurt Bevacqua, Grand Funk Drummer Don Brewer, and others, too numerous to list.
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaThe Love Doctors, consisting of talk show hosts Glenn Curtis (Dr. Glenn) and Rich Dickerson (Dr. or Rev. Rich, who was partly responsible for the formation of the KISS Army) is a radio show on WZZR Real Radio in West Palm Beach, Florida, that runs from 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. EST.The show covers a variety of topics, with Drs. Rich and Glenn taking unscreened calls from listeners on whatever topic they wish to talk about. Only occasionally do the Love Doctors play any songs, and in the rare instances they do, they are parody songs, such as Adam Sandler's The Chanukah Song, or a comedy bit in which Paul Harvey endorses bongs.Following the aftermath of Hurricanes Charley, Frances, and Jeanne in 2004, the Dr Rich, as well as WZZR's other on-air personalities (minus Glenn Curtis), provided non-stop hurricane recovery coverage for three weeks, helping the hurricane-ravaged area with information such as where to get supplies, official statements and interviews with state of Florida representatives, etc.Adding to the popularity of The Love Doctors radio show are the numerous controversial revelations made about the personal lives of the hosts. Of particular note, Dr. Rich's long and impressive list of sexual conquests that include Ann Wilson of the rock band Heart, Stevie Nicks (back when she was hot), among many other models and starlets. Dr. Glenn Curtis has shamelessly admitted to seducing mentally handicapped women, a fetish for eating meals in the bathroom, and allowing his pet dog to arouse him while shaving.Love Doctors Charities, Inc.The Love Doctors Charities, Inc., is an organization registered with the State of Florida (registration number CH18873) and the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation started by the Love Doctors in 2001.Every year in late November, the Love Doctors host a Toy Drive Marathon where the Love Doctors broadcast live for 24 hours straight (with only commercial breaks to spell them, as they play no songs) to raise money and toys for Christmas. For Christmas 2006, the Love Doctors Charities raised over $250,000.
