Under an Electro/Techno influence until 1987, i moved to outside the New Orleans area in Louisiana. Influenced now by the combination of Detroit Electro/Techno and Southern Freestyle music, I began djing in 1989 also forming Rek Productions a breakbeat group of Dj's and began throwing some of the first underground breaks parties in Louisiana that still happens to this day, but now my events are always FREE and local and out of town talent donate their time, skillz and gear to keep the vibe alive in the hard times we live in:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: Back in 1988 I listened to the only Louisiana techno radio shows in 1988 on, 91.1 fm club klsu and 104.1 fm, The Zepher Zone in New Orleans. I met Dj Spice who owned a local record store in New Orleans and he also played the at Sharky's Groove club and on the radio. I would watch how he would mix and listen to the way it sounded when it was mixed. One night he threw me on the tables and left me alone for four hours in The Riviera. I've been mixing ever since... I've organized and played large events, many record release events, as well as club events in the Louisiana area and out of state since 1990. I play a mixture of electro-breakbeat, Nu-Skool breaks hard funky trance, and some Jungle under the name Swa-Healy named after my Detriot school. Most of these tracks have been pressed on 12" vinyl only and distributed world wide by Watts Music, Subsonic, Syntax, Nemisis, TRC & Future music.New Bayou Bros music and remixes from some killer artists coming soon for digtal dj's aval on Beatport.
