5000 Sundays

About Me

It all started in the fall of 2002. Dave had been playing music with Steve at their church and they were looking to expand into a full fledge rock band. At the same time Chris had been talking to a drummer through some friends, and now you have the original four parts. These four got together and rocked for about a year and a half under the name Modern Day Messengers. After playing over 50 shows together and gathering several fans locally, the drummer felt a call into youth ministry at his church, and stepped down from the band. After trying out a couple of drummers that did not work out, they took a couple of years off. In 2006, Chris brought his brother Zack in to the mix and everything clicked. There was a new sense of creativity this time that brought a new sound they had not been able to create before. Now, after finally finding the right mix of chemistry, they have come together as 5000 Sundays. Everyday we strive to walk in the footsteps of our Savior Jesus Christ. If we can reach one person each time we play, we feel our ministry is a success.
