T he Siluet's story goes back to 1999 in Burgas (at the Black sea coast of Bulgaria) but the things didn't come together until 2002, when the band settled down with the following 5 members:
Mariana Dobreva (vocals, acoustic guitar and keyboard),
Maria Dyulgerova (bass and vocals),
Martin Profirov (drums and sound),
Bogdan Dimitrov (electric gutars) and
Martina Baldzhieva (violin, keyboard and percussions).
T he period between 2002 and 2005 we spent at some Bulgarian and Norwegian tourist resorts playing mostly covers, but apart from this we took part at lots of music events and didn't stop to appear at showcases and battle of the bands types of competitions.
T he first demo came out in the Summer of 2005. It included 3 original songs named 'I realise', 'Amsterdam' and 'Again' and the cover versions of Jimi Hendrix's - 'Purple Haze', Aretha Franklyn's - 'Baby I Love You' and Queen's - 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love'.
The band begin to play at more and more venues and festivals in Bulgaria and Norway and in the summer'06 we recorded one more song called 'I'm running' .
In September 2006 Mihaela Nenova joined the band after the leaving of our previous violin player. Right after we won the award of the National Radio in a song competition with "I'm running". As a result of this we recorded a version of 'I'm running' with the big band of the National Radio.
T he 2007 passed mostly in traveling and gigging but staying in Bulgaria. We participated in lots of rock festivals and came up with a new bulgarian single 'Come with me' .
We started the 2008 in the studio working on our new songs 'Isolation', 'Think About These Things', 'Air of Freedom' and 'The Message' .
In the 2 months break we build our studio in Sofia and name it 'Rock School Studio'. We finished the recordings in May there.
We collect all the songs made by now and here is our first album called 'The Road' . Right after this we started the promotion of it in Norway (incl. Vinejrock festival and some of the most celebrated venues in Oslo and the south part of the country). At present we are doing the same in Bulgaria and along with the performances we are recording some new good music.
