My dad, my mom, my kids, AND all the men and women who protects our country on a daily basis.A letter with regards to one of my heros, my mom, my best friend, who lost her battle with cancer on December 19, 2006:I just wanted to take this time to say Thank You for all of your support and kind words during this time for me. It has meant a lot to receive those words from all of you.My mother was born March 13, 1943, joined my dad December 19, 2006. She is no longer in pain. She can do the twist again if she wants to. She is survived by her five children, 16 grandchild and 4 great grandchildren. My mother had a full and wonderful life doing the things that she loved to do. She had become very active in the apartment complex in which she was living. She was the kind of woman that would do any thing for anybody especially her family, grandkids, and friends. She is now looking down on us all, watching over us. She and our father is now and will be forever our Guardian Angels.Although I did get mad at my youngest brother for a decision he made, I must say, his having our mother's 5 children and my sister's fiancee be her pall bearers was a great idea. My brother, Billy, told me this and he's right: What better honor can we bestow upon our mother, the one who gave us all life, than to carry her to her final resting place beside our father. I didn't think I could do it, but when the time came to carry her out, I stepped up and helped my siblings. That was the greatest honor I could have been given. With the help, love and support from my family and friends, I will get through this. Words alone cannot express how I am feeling for all that all of you have done.Thank you from the bottom of my heart. All my love, Tina
