An accomplished dancer, I studied tap, jazz, ballet, modern, and acrobatics, and hip-hop dance since the age of nine, primarily at Sheffield School of Dance, Broadway Dance Theater in New York and Millennium Dance Center in Los Angeles. I ahve danced professionally teaching dance camps at Universities across the nation for the Universal Dance Association, and as a chorus girl in the Dick Tracy Show at Disney/MGM Studios in Orlando, Florida. I served as a dance instructor at Sheffield School of Dance in Mobile, Jackie O’Neal School of Dance and Exclusively Ballet in Birmingham, Alabama, and

I performed in the 2004 MTV Video Music Awards, and the 2004 Latin Video Music Awards, in the 2005 Latin Billboard Awards, and served as a dancer and choreographer on the Latin Univision and Telemundo Television Networks in Miami.
I have worked extensively as a print and television model appearing on the pages of Glamour, Ebony, Essence, Jet, and the cover of the Birmingham Magazine, and was featured in the March 2005 issue of O Magazine in a full page Petsmart ad. In 1993, I became the first, and so far only, African-American woman to be crowned Miss Alabama and went on to represent the state in the 1994 Miss America Pageant where I placed as a top ten semi-finalist with dance as my talent. My year of service was dedicated to speaking to students about the importance of education with an emphasis on staying school.
In Miami, I continued to reach out to children at risk as a dance instructor for the non-profit organization Arts for Learning, where I taught dance in inner city schools in Liberty City and Little Haiti.
