Begining in late 2004. Matt and Daryl started what would soon become ShadowMancer mostly as just a side project they would begin to write some of the tracks that later made their way onto the first album. Scott being in another band with Matt at the time started to come around and write some material. After the three went to see Damageplan at the 9:30 club and being spellbound by that of Vinnie Paul and the late Dimebag. Matt and Scott disbanded their current project to focus on the one with Daryl. They put their efforts together and eventually enlisted Brandon, a guitarist from a previous band Daryl had been in. This became the foundation of ShadowMancer. After a few months of writing they came across that of Mike Candela and he was added in on vocals finishing out the lineup.Going on to do shows within the local area they recorded their first album entitled Outer Darkness. From here the band devolped a sound the washington post described as "Eclectic Metal" taking its influence from many sub-genres of Metal and blending them seamlessly. From their they moved outside of the local town of Thurmont to Jaxx and The Black Hole even opening up for the likes of 3 inches of blood. Around this time the band well into its second year recorded a three track ep with tracks like "P.I.M.F., Fade Away and The Entombed Martyr. Shortly after its release they parted with ways with Mike. Some time went on with many tryouts of new singers,Jake Teegarden was unanimosly chosen as the new singer. From here the band is currently working on the follow up to Outer Darkness and to hit the road again.

Well after sometime I've realized that the page itself was never updated so those of you whom don't know yes we have disbanded this happened some months back, those of you in need of a replacement or whatnot for your band may contact the page and i will pass the info on to whom you would like to ask.
-11-14-07-Today the band is finally able to go into the studio. We are going to record two new songs and put them up on the myspace. We might possibly be putting the songs out on a demo for purchasing after the recording is all completed. We will give you guys an update when we have finished the product.
-6-21-07-Here we are about a month in with our new singer Jake. Things could not be going better he has been learning all the material and writing some of his own. Which we will deffinetly be playing at shows. We currently are looking to book some so if you need a band hit us up. Also we are making plans to enter the studio for the 2nd album which for writing is pretty much done.
-5-14-07-After a month of tryouts and jam sessions on new singers we have chosen Jake Teegarden. We cannot wait for you guys to check this guy out live.
-4-9-07-Well if you havent heard yet we have parted ways with our singer Mike. Not to worry though we already have a replacement lined up and have been trying him out. If all goes well we will be back out doing shows in the near future.
1-31-07-Finally getting some time to update here. Last week was a hell of a week first on monday playing the 3 inches of blood show at Jaxx, we were bumped up and are set was as long as the headliner, how fucking cool is that, and we have to say thanks to 3 inches very cool dudes. Then still writing and getting ready for the show that friday at the black hole which most remember as the zu with our buds Cryptic Warning, due to one of the bands not showing we had to fill in so we ended up playing everything we had. And now for the great news, people have bugged the hell out of us for the new songs...yes they are done and had it not been for this whole .mp3 crap they would have been up a long time ago but i got them converted so they are being put up tommorow.
11-22-06- Well everyone we have some awsome news for today we just got the 2nd shipment for the Outer Darkness cds a couple days ago, and the demo is being mixed as you read this, also alot of you have asked for T-shirts and we have obliged they should be done within the week and we will try to get pics up of the designs, they should be costing somewere around 15 bucks (we'll keep them as cheap for you as we can).
11-18-06- Once again been a while since and update, here to let you in on whats been going on. We just wrote a new song for the yet untitled 2nd album and should be ready for cryptic christmas, which by the way we have been bustin our ass' to prepare for. All tickets for that show are on sale for only 10 bucks so if you still aint got one let us know.
10-16-06- Whats up everyone. Its been a while since the last time we updated so here is what has been going on since. We have started and almost finished a demo we are releasing to the public that is self recorded, like Outer Darkness, and will be available to the public as soon as we are finished. There is no set price for the demo as of now but it will include 3 songs, P.I.M.F., The Entombed Martyr, and Fade Away. We also have been booking shows and recently just did two colorfest shows at Woodside skate shop. I would like to take this time to thank everyone that came out to the Woodside shows and helped in supporting ShadowMancer and the rest of the local acts. We also would like to thank the guys from Woodside for holding the show and allowing us to play. We have a blast every time we do. We have an upcoming show Dec. 10th called Cryptic Christmas. It is being held at the Zu in Baltimore. Tickets are currently being sold and are $10 each. 8-20-06-The Jaxx Show last night was amazing thanks to all who came out and hopefully soon we will do more shows there. Also we just got ahold of a copy of the article the washington post did on us that ran in thursdays paper, so we'll try and get that up so you all can read.
