DeAvon Burnes- CEO of BP World Records, has been involved in the music industry since 1994. Mr. Burnes has a background in sales, marketing, management and event promotions/coordinating. In 1994, he began working for Tower Records-Mesa, AZ as a manager at a young age. DeAvon’s expertise is focused in the area of management and marketing. Managing a major record store chain and General Manager of hotels such as AmeriSuites, Marriott and Extended Stay America has groomed him for success. He has also worked with companies such as WEA(Warner/Elektra/Atlantic), BMG, Noo Trybe/Virgin Records, City Hall Distribution, and several other independent labels as a sales rep or promotions. He has worked on marketing projects for White Snake, Gerald & Eddie Levert, 2Pac, Prince, Brandy, Babyface, George Michael, Simple Minds, E40, Master P and many more. Also, DeAvon promoted and planned concerts for Eminem, R.Kelly, Coolio, Ginuwine, Eric Benet, Method Man, Roy Ayers, Christina Aguilera, Pitbull, while working with Moodswing Entertainment and his own promotions company Prophet Promotions. He has an excellent reputation throughout the industry and brings tremendous strength and experience to our new enterprise.
