C-TEC

About Me

Originally collaborating in the now defunct side project known as 'The Cyber-Tec Project', Jean-Luc De Meyer (of Front 242), and Ged Denton (of Crisis NTI) now joined by Marc Heal (of Cubanate) decide to pursue further material after the departure of original Cyber-Tec Project member Jonathan Sharp (of New Mind). In 1997, after shortening their name to C-Tec, they released a full album, DARKER , on the legendary US industrial Wax Trax! label. The band toured North America twice in 1998 with a hybrid lineup featuring other members of Cubanate and Julian Beeston, one time drummer in Nitzer Ebb. The second album under the C-Tec moniker, CUT, was released in 2000 on SPV imprint Synthetic Symphony. The album was originally slated for US release on Wax Trax! but the label closed around this time. Thereby, CUT never had an official American release. To this day, it remains as the final masterpiece by this legendary collaborative project.
This fan page stands in tribute of the small yet amazing body of work created by one of the greatest electronic side projects ever conceived. Enjoy!
