My career started at Borg Warner, Bellwood Il. I took the bus about 10 miles to a job assembling auto parts from 4 till midnight. Saved up every penny for design school. My education in fashion design was interrupted when I was diagnosed with Guillian Barre. Put me out for 6 months..oh well! Anyways I finished design school, and got a job sewing for a designer in Lincoln Park. Then I worked for a dress manufacturer for 15 years..doing cutting, markers, alittle patternmaking..I put together a design studio: a Brother serger, Brother DB2-B755-3 straight stitch (made in BRASIL) and a Husqvarna for buttonholes, 2 Wolf forms..Rowenta..ya know the good stuff.I Embroidered for six years.------------------------------------------------------

p.s.
The Party Pooper. Just as the upbeat attitude of a perennial optimist will rub off, fraternizing with negative naysayers can influence your feelings about the job. Even if they are perfectly pleasant to you, be careful about aligning yourself with incorrigible whiners who constantly complain or dish dirt. They may not be entirely trustworthy, and being chummy with them could lead management to peg you as a "bad apple," too.
