About Me

Element Eden represents the four elements of life: wind, water, fire and earth, of which all living things are made. Based around the Element Eden Advocate Program, Eden communicates positively through music, art & fashion while still embracing our skateboarding roots.
Why Eden? The term 'girls' has always seemed a little too generic, so as the clothing range evolved, we felt it appropriate to come up with something more unique and personal to define the Element girl. From this, Element Eden was born, a reference to the natural look, feel and progression of the Element girl.
Element is proud to highlight our newest Element Eden Advocate, Pepa Prieto. Hailing from Granada, Spain and currently residing in Madrid, Pepa is a fine artist who incorporates her capricious characters intotraditional mediums like acrylic on canvas, as well as installations, clothing, and most recently (and excitingly) for two of Europe’s MTV-Vueling A320s jumbo jets. Now cloaked in Pepa’s distinctively eccentric artwork, this vibrant flying machine will be will be painting the skies with colour and welcoming passengers and VIP guests for Vueling’s various customised flights.

Since its inception, the Element Eden Advocate Program aspires to inspire by presenting a broader and more realistic definition of what it means to be a girl in the world today. “I accepted the advocacy for Element Eden because I think it’s a project that gives a very good perspective on artistic things,” says Pepa. “It’s a good combination of artistic and commercial working together, and I also really liked the work of the other advocates.”
The rest of the Element Eden Advocate “team” includes craftswoman Beck Hickey, filmmaker and philanthropist Kendra Jones Morris, Australian personality Asha Kuerten, poet and musician Ishle Park, and artists Brooke Reidt, Amber B, and Tiffany Bozic.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Element Advocate: Brett Chan

Brett first started going there when he lived nearby, some years back, as it was the only low key, non sceney, place to get coffee by the sea.

Around the time Brett stopped drinking coffee, it became a wine bar, with an amazingly simple, well thought out selection of reds and whites (plus the few odd beers) complimented by all the things these beverages should go with (cheese platters, anitpasto, sandwiches etc).

Since its creation, Brett has painted the shops front, five or six times, and everyone has caught onto this gem of a location.

Brett says “sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride”.

Contest Winner: Sarah Jane

Sarah Jane's win earned her $5000 courtesy of Element, with the funds donated directly to her chosen charity – the Bush Heritage Fund.

Element Eden Marketing spokesperson Lyndall Wilson said Sarah-Jane purchased a specially-marked Element Eden t-shirt and entered the competition by submitting a 50-word verse on how she would make a difference to any wildlife or conservation issue.

“The initiative was designed to inspire young girls to actively participate in actions that help improve their environment,” said Lyndall.

Sarah-Jane’s decision to choose the Bush Heritage Fund was based on her passion for the protection of animals, her admiration for their work in the preservation of land and their long-term commitment and vision to these goals.

“She’s also become a volunteer for the Bush Heritage Fund and this reflects her dedication to improving the environment and displays the type of behaviour Element was seeking to support through the competition.”

The Bush Heritage Fund is a not for profit organisation that protects Australia’s unique animals, plants and their habitats. They have set the task of securing 1% of Australia’s bush for conservation by 2025, which represents over seven million hectares of land. They are well on track, with 30 reserves and nearly one million hectares already protected, thanks to the commitment of their loyal supporters.

Paul Evans, Bush Heritage Donor Relations Coordinator, said initiatives such as Element’s Your Decision To Make A Difference competition help organisations raise their profile ‘and highlight key environmental issues to potential new supporters’.

“This is an important aspect in our being able to achieve our goal of protecting Australia’s unique animals and plants,” he said.

Mr Evans said Bush Heritage Australia was honoured and thrilled to be the recipient of such a wonderful gift through Sarah-Jane.

“This is a marvellous result and we are extremely grateful to contest winner Sarah-Jane for selecting Bush Heritage as her preferred not for profit organisation,” he said.

“Certainly Sarah-Jane has made a difference. Thanks to her initiative we will be able complete essential fire management work on our Goonderoo Reserve in central Queensland. Situated in an area that has seen heavy land clearing, the reserve protects important strands of endangered Brigalow woodlands and native grasslands, and this project will protect these valuable habitats from wildfires.”
