My name is Colin, I was born in 1978 a year late for Star Wars and decent punk. +++ Fast forward 29 years, and believe me it feels like it was on fast forward, I live in Eastbourne in the South East of the UK, I'm married with two fantastic kids and I work for Social Services in an administrative capacity. +++
Eastbourne is a seaside town that has a reputation for a large elderly population. I would say that the number of teenage mothers is starting to rival the number of OAPs and that has to result in a good average - right? +++
I used to work in a shop, it was a very nice shop - it sold jewellery in Brighton. Now I work in a social services office in Eastbourne. In a shop everything is about making money, that's the whole reason why you are there. In social services all we try and do everyday is to help people and that makes me feel a hundred times better inside. +++
The only other thing you should know about me is that I LOVE comics. If you take away family, work, eating and sleeping the rest of my life pretty much revolves around reading and writing comics. I mess around with prose and screenplay now and again but for me comics are where it is at.
In 2001 I was one of the founders of Underfire Comics , a collective of artists and writers in Brighton. With Underfire I wrote the mini-series Dreamtime and another strip Talisman for the Rapid Fire anthology. I was also the editor of Rapid Fire. +++ In 2004 I re-launched Zarjaz , the 2000AD fanzine, which is now on its fourth issue. You can go to the Zarjaz forum at Pencil Monkey
