The Muzak Heart & Soul Foundation is proud to sponsor a Battle of the Bands in the Carolinas.
The Battle of the Bands will determine the best band throughout the Charlotte area and offer prizes to the winners that will enhance their music endeavors.
Battle of the Bands will take place in two segments. Any band that has 2 to 8 members, at least two currently enrolled in high school, is eligible to apply. Every band that applies is required to play in the preliminary audition round in February. Each band will play one song for the preliminary auditions and will be judged by a panel of five. The top 8 bands will advance to the Battle of the Bands event on Saturday, March th at the Neighborhood Theatre. The Battle of the Bands event will be open to the public and the best band will be chosen by a combination of judge scores and audience votes.
The Muzak Heart and Soul Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to supporting and redefining music education. In order to achieve this goal, the Foundation looks to provide new and exciting ways to help studnets achieve their musical aspirations. The Muzak Heart & Soul Foundation is based in the Charlotte, NC area.

Aside from what your second grade teacher told you not to make, Noise! is the first summer program for teens who long to understand and someday be a part of the music industry. Noise! is loud! Not to mention life altering, mind-bending and dream-inspiring.
At Noise! teens 15 to 17 years old learn from a wide range of role models including artist managers, record label producers, music critics, audio architects and other industry insiders. The students also receive a first-hand look at the environments within which industry professionals work. They are given the opportunity to explore various careers within the music industry—better equipping them to pursue their dreams.
