GOTFUQT, the Central Florida United Queers and Trannies group, was formed at the first meeting of the Florida United Queers and Trannies conference held in Tallahassee, Florida on December 1-3, 2006. GOTFUQT, taking its name from the three big cities in Central Florida - Gainesville, Orlando, Tampa - began as an idea to help unify people in the LGBTQ community in the general Central Florida region - the area not covered by SoFUQT and NoFUQT. GOTFUQT serves as a community to discuss, organize, and mobilize around queer-centered issues in individual communities all around Central Florida.
