Eric Cire, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and Grammy nominated producer (Emancipation of Mimi) creates music that moves people. Fusing life's experiences and expressions of passion to capture the sentiments of multiple generations, Eric Cire forms a harmonious union between music and life. Eric Cire is among a select few musical artists and producers who count the drums, strings, and piano as musical tools. As CEO and founder of Cire Entertainment, Eric Cire is one of the music industry's most extraordinary talents.
With the roots of Eric's musical inspiration stemming from his academically musician trained father (JEROME CRAWFORD SR. - RIP) and his singer mother, Eric had an early appreciation for music. His father would make him spend countless hours studying The Beatles' harmonies, Lionel Ritchie's song structure, and Quincy Jones' music production. He learned soul from the church; and singing gospel allowed the Detroit native...who by the way...graduated from CASS TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL, the opportunity to show emotion through his talent. However, not convinced Gospel was his calling, Eric fought through the discouragement of his peers in the church and began exploring secular music.
Armed with a gift for love-letter writing, Eric relocated to Atlanta to pursue his dreams. He wrote lyrics for the ladies and found temporary interest as a solo act. But with labels using physical standards as an excuse to ignore his phenomenal talent, his dreams of being a solo act did not come easily. Living in hotels and struggling to realize his deserved success, Eric pressed on. Months later, Eric's production talents began to peak the interest of the music industry. And performing at the BMI Urban Nights showcase gave him all the confirmation he needed to know that as an artist he could touch people's lives by his words, voice, and passion.
After the joint success on The Emancipation Of Mimi album, Eric continued to pursue his compelling musical craft with his debut album, ‘Eric Cire’ that was released at the beginning of 2006. Having handled his own business strategies, Mr Cire has pushed a staggering 50,000 units without promo in the US, a dynamic figure that proves a respectable recognition without the help from a major label.
During this phenomenal music venture, Eric has performed with the likes of Keith
Sweat, KCI and JoJo, Ciara, Tank, Urban Mystic, Dave Hollister, Anthony Hamilton
and Farah from Destiny's. Currently signed to Chris Stokes (TUG) for Production
Publishing, working relationships have included Mariah Carey, 3LW, Nicci
Gilbert from Brownstone, Pam and Dodi, YoungBloods and newly signed Taleen who
we expect to hear more from in 2007.
Eric Cire is currently negotiating four major record deals whilst his ‘Love Vowels’ and ‘Diggin Up The Past’ tracks have been on high demand on all mainstream radio stations across the UK and US such as Choice FM, 1XTRA, Radio One, Hot 97 and Galaxy FM.
Inspired by his daughter, T'Arica, and his father's constant reminder (I don't do music, I am music), Eric is fervently chasing his goals of becoming a notable contributor to the world of music.
Eric is currently in the studio with major recording artists so watch this space…
