On stage and on CD, George Wallace reads his poetry solo and with musical accompaniement....Two CDs of his work have been recorded...the first in 2002 with David Amram in Glen Head NY, entitled Swimming Through Water, features work from a book of his poetry by the same published in Italy and featuring the legendary multi-instrumental talents of a pioneer in jazz-poetry collaboration...the second, entitled Sky Is and recorded in 2006 in Cornwall England, features electronic and guitar accompaniement by The Moontones...Based in New York and a regular on the downtown performance scene, Wallace has performed from Howlfest to Bowery Poetry Club and from Carnegie Hall to the Algonquin Club...also many regional venues such as Martha Clara Vineyards, Jersey City's Arthouse and Colony Cafe in Woodstock...He is a regular participant in open air and theme festivals nationally, including Bradstock, Woody Guthrie Festival, Lowell Celebrates Kerouac, and Insomniacathon...he appears frequently in the United Kingdom, from London to Liverpool, Cornwall to Cumbria, and Wales to Northern Ireland...In 2007 he will tour the West Coast of the US, with visits to Portland Oregon, San Francisco and Los Angeles in the works...
