In The Eye

The project started in the second half of 2000, after Samy had left his first band “Vortex” in order to create something closer to his musical preferences. During this process he met Otero, and, after a few conversations, they decided to found what today is known as “In The Eye”.The band went through several problems since the beginning of 2003, so they stayed inactive for some months until summer when the drummer position was left vacant, position that Aitor would take over up to now. Aitor’s incorporation added experience for the band since Aitor came from “Declive”, band with which he took part in eight performances, which supposed a great help for the band to progress.At the same time, the band moved from the practising place and incorporated a singer, Jose “El Abuelo”. Jose’s presence gave certain stability to the band since for the first time they had a implicated singer.The first song ever to come out was “Self-destruction”, which shaped a more or less personal style for the project which after some years was “baptized” as: In The Eye.The band had to move their practising place again, this time to San Sebastián de Los Reyes, town were most of the band members live.Soon after moving, in January 2006, after the continuous absence of “El Abuelo” every time there was a rehearsal, it was necessary to look for a new singer. This had as a result the incorporation of Chipi(Alejandro) to the band, which allowed the band to focus on the preparation of the vocals after months of instrumental composing, helping the recording of their first demo record. ____________________________________________________________ __Tras varios cambios en la formación, el grupo se estableció con Samy a las 4 cuerdas, Otero como unico guitarrista, Aitor en las percusiones y Chipi con su voz, con la incorporación de este ultimo a principios del 2006.Finalizando 2006, ln The Eye dio su primer concierto en la Sala Charango, situada en la ciudad que vio crecer a la mayoría de sus componentes. La actuación fue un éxito rotundo gracias a las personas que acudieron, quienes no pararon de animar y apoyar al grupo en todo momento, algunos provenientes de lugares como: Caceres, Sevilla y Oviedo, destacando a su termino la fuerza y seriedad del sonido en directo de la formación.Durante los meses de enero y febrero del 2007, el grupo entra en los estudios Hysteria para realizar la grabación de su primer EP homonimo, "In The Eye".Mas tarde, en abril del 2007 vuelven a escena de la mano de los madrileños Baltrot, en cuya actuación se presentaba su primera maqueta y se daba un adelanto de lo que sería su segundo EP.Meses despues, el grupo entra a grabar "Life Begins Again", durante el verano del 2007. Compuesto por 5 temas, mas maduros, mas rapidos, mas melodicos, mas complejos, mas contundentes que en el anterior trabajo. Demostrando que In The Eye sigue adelante, no se detiene y mejora constantemente.Actualmente la banda se encuentra preparando los conciertos en los que presentarán al publico "Life Begins Again", tanto dentro como fuera de Madrid, y componiendo nuevo material constantemente.
