Coastal Fronts was born out of love for pure lyricszm and freedom of speech. The two members, Flip Uno (filipino) and Savotage (japanese), both hailing from the bay area (Oakland and San Francisco) was introduced to each other by Flip uno's ex potna MERK1 from the group TWO KINGS. Realising that both Flip Uno and Savotage (a.k.a young savo), has an undying passion for music, specifically hiphop, the two started simply by cyphering to any beats they can get a hold of and later found out that their styles has a promising sound.Since then, the two has been trying to put together a few tracks on the low but never really got together till after the MC battles that took place at Q-Bar, where in the year 2005, Flip Uno got 1st runner up against Mishap who got the title.
