Italian artist Roberto Paci Dalò belongs to the innovative exponents of the European contemporary arts scene with projects created in music, performing arts, visual arts and film. A pioneer in the use of digital technologies he lives between Rimini (Italy) and Vancouver and has been recipient of the DAAD Fellowship. Founder and director of the performing arts company Giardini Pensili. Since 2006 artistic director of Velvet Factory - a space for sound, image, performing arts, multimedia (Rimini, Italy).
His work has won him international admiration from, among the others,John Cage and Aleksandr Sokurov.

Parallel to his music and stage work - he wrote, composed and directed about 25 theatre and music-theatre works presented worldwide - is the creation of a body of innovative film and video works regularly screened in International festivals and galleries. His hörspiele & radioworks are produced by the main European broadcasting corporations. His installations and visual arts projects are presented in Europe and Americas in major museums, galleries, site specific, and the public space.
Paci Dalò is active as virtuoso performer (electronics / sampler / clarinets) involved in collaborations with artists from every imaginable genre: Kronos Quartet, David Moss, Philip Jeck, Olga Neuwirth, Giorgio Agamben, Maurizio Cattelan, Han Bennink, Carlos Zingaro, Llorenç Barber, Alvin Curran, Burkhard Stangl, Scanner, Terry Riley, Peter Courtemanche, Alexandra Petrova, Predrag Matvejevic', Gabriele Frasca, Giorgio Agamben, Robert Adrian X, Patrizio Esposito, Oreste Zevola, Paolo Rosa / Studio Azzurro, Caterina Sagna, Icarus Ensemble, Virtuosi di Nuova Consonanza among others.
With such musicians as Guglielmo Pagnozzi, Lullo Mosso, and Diego Sapignoli he performs with the band Roberto Paci Dalò Klezmer Orchestra created in Jerusalem in 1988.
His latest book- edited together with Emanuele Quinz - is Millesuoni. Deleuze, Guattari e la musica elettronica (Cronopio 2006) which includes contributions by DJ Spooky, Guy-Marc Hinant, Achim Szepanski, Christoph Cox, Timothy Murphy
Paci Dalò is curator of festivals, symposia, and exhibitions. Curator of the L'Arte dell'Ascolto label. Member of the Internationale Heiner Müller Gesellschaft and of the board of the Cronopio publishing company.
