SCOTT NIXX, born Scott Nicholson, An 80's baby 2 death, was hooked by hip hop the moment his dad slipped Run DMC records in to the youngsters hands. His love of the culture developed at an early age. Inspired heavily by ICE CUBE'S DEATH CERTIFICATE, he took to writing his own music at the age of 11, and began perorming in Manitoba,Canada at 14.Brought under the guidance of local group Farm Fresh the youngin' fell in love with the stage, performing and entering battles all throughout his teen years. Discouraged by the lack of a market for a teenaged white rapper(this is pre-Eminem folks!!!), he was pulled into the allure of what the darker side of life had to offer, living recklessly and quickly fell into the traps the lifestyle brings. After a brief stint in the group CONTRADICTION, making up for lost time he packed his bags and headed to Winnipeg to start over. Hooking up with BOSS PROMOTIONS, he appeared on the KINGS OF PEG CITY compilation, and started recording with such artists as K-RUPSON and the MOONSHINE CREW, MURRK.COM, D GRIMEZ and close friend JOHN DOA.After this he hit the battle circuit heavy, including being a retired 4X FLAVA 107.9 BATTLE CHAMPION and appeared on local mixtapes, including DJ ABLAZE. During his time in Winnipeg he has opened for ALI SHAHEED MUHAMMED(TRIBE CALLED QUEST),CLASSIFIED, BEENIE MAN and LLOYD BANKS(WITH JOHN DOA), and also performed at HOT 103'S LIVE TO AIR(333,000 PEOPLE LISTENED) @SILVERADO'S.12 years deep into the game, throughout all the struggle and strife, loss, heartbreak and pain, the one constant has been his love for the release his music brings. Armed with music of our times, this walking contradiction shows the good,the bad and the ugly this life has bestowed upon him.
