I was raised in Waynesville, Ohio where I grew up in the Waynesville United Methodist Church. When I was 11 I accepted Jesus Christ and was confirmed and baptized in the church shortly after. I graduated from Waynesville High School in 2005 and began attending Ohio University in the fall.It was at Ohio University where I took full responsibility for my own personal relationship and walk with Jesus. There I attended Central United Methodist Church in Athens, Ohio and graduated in the summer of 2005 with a degree in Social Studies Education.I was able to go on my first mission trip to Monterrey, Mexico in the summer of 2003, which was my motivation to go to Jamaica with Christian Service International (CSI) the following summer with my own church. CSI serves the Jamaican people by hosting teams to build houses for families or individuals in need. On this trip I felt lead to consider and pray about long term missions. In 2005 the Vrettos family and I began to look into, more seriously, the possibility of going into long term missions in Jamaica. I went again with my church in the summer of 2005 and felt more sure of the calling and am now in the process of raising support. I plan on administiring the Student Support Program (which provides funds for students to attend school) for CSI and anything else that is needed in Jamaica. I hope that through this program and any other opportunities I come upon down there God will give me the strength, wisdom, and courage to show Christ’s love to the children and people I come in contact with while in Jamaica.I currently teach at the Clinton County Alternative School, lead Middle School Youth Group at my church and coached the JV girls’ soccer team in the fall at Waynesville High School.
