Griff's origin and family come from Dekalb Mississippi. The family moved to Milwaukee (The Milltown) when I was young and I was raised there. Always been into music, started as a DJ, making crazy mix tapes and battling in the basement against my cous, big house, one of the baddest DJ's in the Milltown. Got my hands on a couple drum machines back in 1983 and that was it. Started making crazy beats mixed with the turntables and the people was loving it. Then got into keyboards and found out this was my love. Hiphop has always been my thing, but I've always tried all genres, (R&B, Rap, Jazz, Soul etc.) I tried it all and I think that created a better more versatile producer. I started a group and started developing the rap skills doing shows, battling, listening & perfecting all my skills. I've produced artists from all over, east coast, west coast, dirty south, midwest and the north and you can hear it in my music. GRIFFTOWN is the company I started and I currently work with artist and producers in the ATL, LAX, MSP, MKE etc. I'm always on that quest to improve and try new thangs cause this music thang is me & I'm a keep banging them tracks til I'm gone.
