About Me

This profile was edited with Skize Editor
One could say that Pride and Joy was born on April 8,1960.It was on that day that Buddy and Rene Hennington were married and began the family that is their Pride and Joy. Hailing from the great state of Mississippi with father Buddy on piano and vocals, mother Rene on bass guitar, daughter Theresa on vocals, sons Fred on drums and Ted on guitar, dobro and mandolin, and granddaughter Lisa on vocals, Pride & Joy is a family group in every sense of the word. On their latest effort, "Gospel Music From The South",it is obvious how much this family loves the Lord, and making music that praises Him. The Cd's liner notes state Pride & Joy's mission in their own words,"We are truly humbled to be able to serve our Lord Jesus Christ through our music and our lives. We pray that His Holy Spirit will be in every word and every note of our music that we ever sing and play, and that His Spirit will touch someone and they will accept the same gift of salvation that He has given each member of this band". The first single from the Cd is 'Life Is A Highway",a testimony to the wisdom of truly letting Jesus take the wheel and also a glimpse at the musical diversity found on the rest of the album. From more traditional Christian Country on "Father Tell Me' and "Sonshine Of Glory" to some of the most revved up Christian Southern Rock on songs like "Practice What You Preach" and "Kingdom Road", Pride & Joy's "Gospel Music From The South" speaks to every age and possible demographic and more importantly it does it from the heart. buy this cd at CD Baby.com http://cdbaby.com/cd/pridejoy
