I was born in Ashland, Ohio in late January of the year 1978. I remember hearing the Beatles for the first time as a very young lad and deciding that I would be a musician when I grew up. I wrote my first song at the age of ten which was called "Lyin' and Cheatin". I didn't know a lot about the subject then, but the foreshadowing turned out to be appropriate. I started on the violin in 4th grade, and that didn't really pan out, so I began taking piano lessons shortly after and continued for several years. Ultimately, I grew restless and taught myself to play guitar from a Bob Dylan Songbook I found in the discard pile at the Wooster Public Library. I was shy about my singing voice all through and well beyond High School, though I was a member of the Concert, Symphonic, and Show Choirs. After moving to North Carolina and studying the fundamentals of Blues Music, I decided to start singing my heart and not worrying about accuracy of tone. I am currently compiling material for my next recording project, to be entitled "The Railroad Hotel", and playing as much as possible around the Sandhills.
