MY ENGAGEMENT STORY
The man of my dreams has asked me to be his queen forever. This man is no longer in my dreams but has now become a reality. I am one of the few women in the world that has a genuine man that loves me for me and desires nothing more but to be the man that God created him to be...for me. He is amazing in more ways than I can name.
Anthony Winans flew down to Tampa, Florida on March 22nd to surprise me for my birthday, which was the next day (with the help of my BBSFAC Janice Perez-Rivera!!!!). I told him I want nothing more than to be with him on my birthday. And he made that happen. On March 23rd, he took me out to dinner and we simply enjoyed being with each other. Two days later, he surprised me yet again by taking me on a cruise on a yacht in downtown Tampa. It was sooooooooooooo beautiful!!! I enjoyed every moment of it.
When we got on the yacht, the hostess sat us in the first seat on the first level. On the second level, there was an open bar, lounge area, DJ and dance floor. The third level was open with tables and chairs for people to sit and look at all the sites and even watch the sun set over the Gulf of Mexico waters. After he and I took a quick tour of the yacht, we went back down to our seats for dinner. While we were eating, Tony started singing two songs to me, one was "At Last". He asked me if I remebered those songs. I said yes..I do (?). I didn't pay much attention to that. So after we ate dinner, we were supposed to have dessert. However, Tony had other plans. So he suggested we go back up to the third deck to take pictures and enjoy the view from up top. I said ok.
As we were climbing the last few steps that would bring us to the third deck, Tony brought up a conversation that we had over the weekend prior to him coming. He asked me "How does he show me that he really wants to spend the rest of his life with me? How do I know?" That day on the phone, I hesitated and said, "Because you tell me and....show me...???" Now after he repeated the response I gave him and he asked me if I remembered the convo, I said yes. He said the question was kinda empty-answered because the only way for me to show you is to propose to you. So with that said...." Then he said "Aries Leshea' Bronson" (as he went down on one knee and pulled out that beautiful ring box), "will you marry me?" My breath was taken away! It's like all of time stood still in that very moment. I heard nothing but "Aries." I didn't hear the clashing of the water against the yacht, I didn't hear people talking, I didn't even hear him ask me to marry him, I only saw his mouth moving. I froze!!! FINALLY....I said yes! I saw flashes of bright light coming from my right but I didn't know what it was. TONY HAD ARRANGED FOR THE PHOTOGRAPHER TO TAKE PICTURES OF EVERY MOMENT!!!!! WOW!
After that, we embraced each other and I cried and cried. Then he took my hand and we proceeded back to the first deck...so I thought. Before getting to the stairs, we were greeted by all the people that witness the proposal and they showered us with congratulations, handshakes and hugs. Once we got to the second level, midway through it (on the dance floor), Tony asked me if I remembered that song he was singing to me? I looked up at him, teary eyed, and said "yes". Then the DJ played "At Last" on cue. I had no idea that Tony had also arranged for the DJ to play that song for us!!! Everybody cleared the dance floor and it was just him and I. I cried SOOOOO HARD I couldn't even dance. I almost felt like fainting. :0)
Since I obviously couldn't dance, he took my hand and led me to a lounge chair where we both sat for the duration of the song. After the song was over, we proceeded to the first level. We didn't even make it to the bottom of the stairs before the hostess of the ship grabbed us and gave us both hugs..and more hugs, and more hugs. She was all smiles. Then she took my hand and showed the ring off to the other couples that were on the ship eating dinner, telling everyone "They just got engaged!!! I love this stuff!!! Oh my gosh I'm so happy for you!!!" We were applauded by several couples on the way back to our table.
When we got back to our table, there were two white platters and two glasses of champagne waiting for us. One platter had two different slices of cake with strawberries & whipped cream in each corner. On the other was the word "Congratulations" written in cursive with strawberry syrup and the same strawberries & whipped cream in each corner. Then we were presented with the pictures from our engagement moment by the photographer. All compliments of the yacht. OMG!!!!! I cried even more!!!! I love him soooo much! I look forward to being Mrs. Aries Leshea' Winans. He makes my heart smile. :0)..

This section is for my brother, Vernan Bronson. He is prison for 5 more years. He is in need of a pen pal. He's not looking for a relationship, just a friend. For all those who have been in jail before or know someone that has been there should know how important it is to receive mail. It's the only form of communication most inmates have with the outside world.

This is what Vernan is saying to you... won't you be his friend? (I am so serious)
Please consider writing him. Even if you just send one post card saying hello. Send some encouraging scriptures. Draw him a picture. Most importantly, show him love. Please. Oh, and let him know his crazy little sister seriously put his jail information on her Myspace page.
