And enjoy some good music by some of the best musicians in the Bay Area....San Francisco/Oaktown Bay Area that is.We are oldschool flava, that New Orleans mixed with Oakland Funk. We also have a little jazz, church, blues in us as well. Just the right grooves to get you up on your feet.I'll be upgrading this site as it is still underconstruction but I am also learning fast.Once done here visit the whole band. Influences: My contemporary influences are Tower of Power, Earth, Wind & Fire, The Crusaders, Kool & the Gang, Grover Washington, George Howard, Najee, Yellow Jackets, Spiro Gyra, Four Play this is the music I grew up with...then there is James Brown with Maceo Parker, George Clinton and Parliament/Funkadelic and I always wanted to be a horny horn member. But lets not forget Miles, Trane and Bird....I grew up with Funk and Jazz in Oaktown and that is the flava I bring to BeaufunK.I love bands with great sax players as I see myself as a soloist within a great band. Which is why I joined BeaufunK.I also love Gospel music as it just gives me goose bumps to hear and especially to play. Kirk Franklin is the style I really love. If anyone has others please feel free to turn me on to them.As for Rap...I also love Snoop and Tupac....I don't get that deep with it but Pac man was a poet, and I love the way Snoop keep it real with the oleschool beats in his and it's the cadences I love the most...Let me stop, the producer in me is coming out....:-)
