Hello! My name is Manda/Mindy/Mandi, whichever you like best, take your pick!
I think my favourite thing to do is listen to music. (especially vinyls in my dads attic), other things i like best are : laughing with friends, spending effortless time with people, laughing at random things only me and my friends would find funny, reminiscing, and going places that mean something to me, being independant, but having someone to fall back on.
Im interested in music history/convention, and the same with film. Photography, drawing ideas, playing piano, and being inspired in different ways by odd/alternative/individual music or artists, and making music videos.
I like it when it rains and im in my room, i love thunderstorms, and i like walking in the countryside on a warm sunny day taking pictures (especially Priddy). I love it when sunlight cascades through trees and dapples onto grass, and sitting beneath trees and watching the sky. I also enjoy beaches and looking at the limitless horizon. I am also a keen bodyboarder, haha!
Music-wise, I like new bands that have been inspired by older classics, especially Garage Rock bands from Detroit such as the White Stripes and the Raveonettes, i love their trashy happy rock and roll sound. I love the classics themselves, and i love music that tells a story, like Bob Dylan or Johnny Cash. I also love world culture music like african and reggae/ska and also the majority of what my Dad listens to (being new wave, punk, and classical!), i like techno and alternative stuff, folk is very good too, but most of all i love finding rare tracks like b-sides and covers of songs that no one has. Retro got me into the 50's-70's rock scene, which had always been an ambition of mine, and his enthusiasm and appreciation towards it has made me love it too.
I admire my dad for his knowledge of music history :-D hes almost always right with what is good and what isn't, or why if its bad its good...! and i love how blunt he is with music he doesnt like :-P where i tend to agree cause it is his music taste i have been brought up on and have learned to love as he does.
I'm highly against smoking, and I don't do drugs, they scare the shit out of me to be honest. I don't drink much either. I believe you can have an awesome time without an escapism, but it is fun to escape.
I'm slightly OCD with being tidy/organizing certain things... i've just moved to Weymouth, and I'm loving it here, I've made loads of awesome new friends and love meeting new people, but ill never forget my friends at home. So im rather lucky in my opinion, and I appreciate that everyday.
Lastly, I take my life for granted alot of the time. Im alot better off than alot of people, i usually get what i want, basically, i have a pretty damn decent life. I have a lovely family, quite a few amazing friends, and i have a very nice house. I like myself alot, so I hope you will too. :-)
