About Me

Enter the Illicit:
Been working under many guises for years, putting out work on different labels and being involved with my own DIY Sunshine Dirge imprint. Have also just started a new label for collaborations in the Leeds area. I’ve been intentionally making music since I was about 11 using whatever programs I could get my hands on. Analogue gear was mostly shunned in favour of digital hardware and warwick basses. Started off producing ambient-ish tracks and playing bass in different bands when I lived in Holland. That place, and my friends there opened my eyes to a whole new cultures and genres of music (psytrance, grind, etc) that I think are struggling somewhat in England. On the upside we definitely have the best forum for electronic dance music in the world and it’s this culture thats attracted my attention most over the past say 5 years. Never gone out my way to create tracks in any particular style or tempo, but I’ve tried to keep the same vibe running through everything. Leeds has given me opportunities to experience sound systems properly with Leeds definitely a Mecca of dark beats. However, I think the industrial vibe I get every time I go home has left an imprint on my sound, can’t get it anywhere else. Been getting a lot of support recently with airplay so much thanks to those who know. Hopefully the music carries itself as original and manages to inspire some sort of emotion. If these beats smash your inferior speakers and break teeth don't bitch about it
Stay true. Dave
