. Khay Jhay has won the Long Beach Jazz Festival Talent Search Award. Khay Jhay opened the Long Beach Jazz Festival for such artist as: Brian Culbertson, George Duke, Stanley Clark, Everette Harp, Phil Perry and Kim Waters.
Born in White Castle, Louisiana. Khay Jhay parents migrate to Los Angeles, California when he was six months old. He always had an interest in music at an early age.Khay Jhay has paid his dues in what they call the chittlin circuit of musician. Khay Jhay is a former member of the legendary group L.T.D. and Slave. He has traveled all around the United States. He has played with Brenton Wood, Janis Johnson of Taste of Honey, Louis Johnson, James Gastson, and Rham Lee of Earth Wind & Fire. He has performed with musician from groups such as: Gap Band, Prince, Tina Marie & Rick James, Billy Preston, Rose Royce and KC & Jo Jo. He is also working with lyricists, Tony Haynes.Khay Jhay has created a contemporary Jazz CD titled Authentic with a variety of styles such as funk, R&B and Salsa.
