Underspray.com is a new growth, carefully nurtured from a handful of seeds. Each seed is an artist, who guides the direction of growth by providing two nominations for the next artists to be interviewed. And so it goes on.
The site is designed to introduce a variety of diverse artistic styles and a wide range of abilities and we are proud to spotlight the work of new and unknown artists alongside seasoned professionals. Underspray.com probes the mind of the artist for information and asks them to provide a selection of images of their own favourite creations.
When the first seeds were sown I had no idea where this would go, and the direction in which the site has grown has introduced other artistic approaches such as photography, filmography, animation and web design.
Each artist interviewed is asked to nominate 1 or 2 others to be interviewed. And so it grows. Its still a baby, but its getting bigger and stronger daily. Because the path it takes is guided by those interviewed, we have no control over where it leads us, we just sit back and enjoy the ride.
We hook up with a variety of “creatives†with varying styles and abilities to get the low down on them and check out some of there own favourite creations. “But why?†you cry in unison. Because we like art, we like websites and we like to poke around and find out what makes people tick. And we hope you do too.
All this started with us catching up with some of our favourite artists and asking them a few things. Being naturally curious we had unanswered questions like "What’s your favourite soup?" and "What time did you get up this morning?" Clearly you deserve to know the answer to these and other similarly important questions.
We have already covered a wide range of creative styles and feature full-time professionals, unknown artists and those who fall somewhere in between. We are always on the lookout for new artists and if you would like to get involved with Underspray.com by doing an interview for us, know an artist who would like to be featured, or just want to say "hi" please get in touch.
