EXPERIENCE
More than 30 years repairing drums. Well over 40 years at the drums - playing rock music, small group and big band jazz, shows and musicals. Over 30 years teaching drums.33 years in the classroom —– recently retired Science 7, Mount Markham Middle School.(June 2006) Member – AFM Local 51.

LESSONS
Lesson times are available on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday afternoons and evening. Lessons are 1 hour long, given every other week. The lesson is given at the drumset, but also includes rudimental skills. Help with school band music, NYSSMA solos, and All-County is given if asked.

I specialize in custom snares, restoration, and repairs. If you want a snare drum made to order with custom specs, contact me and I’ll send you a basic price list and we can go ahead from there.
Although I can, I generally do not make complete custom sets from scratch. Further, I am simply not a big enough operation to participate in endorsement deals.
As you can see in the photos, I have a bit of experience restoring old drums and drum sets. Pricing depends on how much work has to be done, and the price of repair / replacement parts.
I can generally repair most problems with snare drums, drum sets, and hardware. I can repair / replace damaged parts, as well as repair minor shell damage, restore finishes, re-cover drums etc.
I also stock common drum heads, strainers, and other basic parts. Some repairs may be done on-site with school accounts.
No charge for pick up and delivery on large orders.
