About Me

Alchemy has been over 10 years of my life i am now out on my own, scary but i am gunna try, the new myspace revolution, see if i can reach new people, with new music. Craig was born in Brisbane and has loved music for as long as he can remember. Since receiving his first guitar at age 17, Craig quickly focused on song writing and to date has over 80 songs ready to record. Craig has been a "Writer-Full Member" of APRA since March 1994. Craig studied singing formally with various tutors and vocal coaches and graduated from the school of Audio Engineering in the top 3 for the class of 1996. Craig has recorded and produced several local independent bands, including ALCHEMY'S debut album and the single 'U Will Be Mine', the second album 'Suburban Groove' and the single 'La Radio La' and 'New Day' Craig produced ALCHEMY's last album 'Not Selling...' Craig's influences are many and varied including; The Beatles, Crowded House, Pink Floyd, Dire Straits, Eric Clapton, Live, Little River Band & John Farnham, Diesel, Cold Chisel, Jon Stevens, Crosby Stills & Nash, Audioslave, Peter Gabriel, Genesis, Tommy Emanuel, Tina Arena, Christine Aguleria, Pete Townsend, Silverchair,Irwin Thomas, Batchelor girl, Mozart, Beethoven, Motor Ace and many more to numerous to mention! Craig's love of the 12 string guitar, his unique vocal style, and his diverse range of original songs are at the heart of the ALCHEMY Sound. Influences: Most of my influences are mentioned in the bio section, however, Just about any muso to play maybe write with. Wouldnt mind getting a singing lesson from John farnham, Irwin Thomas, Tina Arena or Tania Doko or a guitar lesson from david Gilmour, Eric clapton , Mark knopfler or Tommy Emmanuel. Im pretty friendly and can chat with just about anyone about just about anything, and i like it that way!
