About Me

Ben Gibb was a poor whale hunter from Sydney's picturesque seaside town of Petersham. He used his spare time on the whalers singing songs of detachment and telling tales of loss and hope. He wasn't a very good whale catcher, and as fate would have it, he wasn't a very good musician either. Faced with a choice between the two he firmly swayed towards the latter and started to record his half arsed tales as a form of creative expression. Along his rocky path he met a lion tamer named Dean Bennison and a Florist named Kipp Wood. Together they would beat out these worthless tunes to nobody but themselves. Disillusioned by his own lack of direction, the whale hunter decided to go back to the drawing board and began working toward a more concise representation of what he felt whilst out catching whales. His options soon expanded and he found himself with no lack of material. He quickly decided that an entire crew would need to be gathered to perform these songs, so as we speak they are preparing for their long voyage on the good ship OXmusic. A few songs didn't make it as there was something that didn't quite fit. These songs didn't require a band, or an audience for that matter, yet they cried for attention. He swiftly recruited co-captain Chris 'Dr' Moller who's vast knowledge of the sea's would prove to be invaluable on this most difficult of journeys. The result is this. A series of songs intended to remain simple and accurate, visual yet cloudy, and to forever remain in their truest form.
