Forming in the primordial ooze of Melbourne, Australia's pub scene's carpets after a hitchhiking odyssey from "up North", Children Collide are Johnny (vocals/guitar) and Heath (bass).
They played their first gig two years back, during the witching hour of Halloween, which had no bearing on the rest of their career other than sounding really awesome.
In 2005 they released We Three, Brave And True, a six-track EP that didn't so much announce the group's arrival as kick the door down, featuring the brilliant We Are Amphibious, the little b-side that could - and did, turning, reinvigorated, into the a-side of 2006's equally impressive Glass Mountain Liars. Alternately melodic, acerbic, clanging and ominous, people have said that Children Collide sound like Nirvana and Sonic Youth.People also say that eating carrots will make you see in the dark and masturbating gives you hairy palms.
Children Collide don't have hairy palms and they don't sound particularly like anything - unless you actually have a witty epithet for bands that play barnstorming songs about fishes and feuds inspired by David Attenborough and Boney M. In which case you can call them whatever you like.
