Paul Chenard

Paul Chenard hails from French Canada and has been performing and recording music internationally for the last fifteen years. Throughout his career this charismatic and accomplished artist recorded 10 CDs (four solos) for major record companies in Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand and Australia, as well as extensive TV and promo concerts. He in constant demand by bands, clubs and popular recording artists.Since arriving in Australia 10 years ago, Paul has played with some of this country's best world music artists, including Epizo Bangoura, Toni Nation, Blair Greenberg, Tigramuna, Mucho Mambo, Zulya, Delicatessen, Kuolga, Global Roots, Greg Sheehan, Lisa Hunt and Brassov. His original works have been featured on Jaslyn Hall's World Music Show on the ABC, Channel 7, Channel 10 and in various venues across Australia. Paul has also toured around Australian schools as part of Musica Viva with award winning Latin band Tigramuna and most recently with Terranga featuring renowned percussionist Pap M'Baye. The last five years has seen Paul form the band Matanza that has rocked the Sydney Latin scene,the band regularly play at the Basement to often to sold out crowds.
