H e l l o ! My name is / Mi nombre es
Tom Pilling and I am a gringo artist.

I grew up in the “O.C.” (Orange County,
California), lived most of my adult life in
San Diego, California, & now thrive in Las Vegas, Nevada.

I dedicate my life to the art of
creative expression through graphic design.

Professionally, I design print advertising
for the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino in
Las Vegas. I also freelance my talents as a Graphic
Designer & Web Designer in my spare time.

The Rio is an amazingly beautiful,
colorful and festive place. Even the
music legend Prince has made it his home 4 now,
per4ming live every weekend in the Rio's Club 3121.

The Rio belongs to the world's largest
casino resorts chain, Harrah's Entertain-
ment. I also do print ads for both of the Rio's sister
hotels: Bally's and Paris Las Vegas.

I thoroughly enjoy my work as the only
in-house advertising graphic artist for these
3 hotels. It's a huge responsibility, ever demanding and
always a challenge, but worth every minute of it!

After all, it's very satisfying to be able
to retouch pictures of such incredibly
stunning glamour models as Lisa Mackay (see
her in slideshow below) and present them in a
magazine ad with high-class. Of course, my job
entails so much more than this...

Although I work with beautiful people
everyday, my heart belongs to only one
beautiful soul. She is the woman of my dreams—my
true love from the lovely city of Chihuahua, Mexico.

Music:

My taste in music is very diverse and ecclectic. I enjoy classical music by the great composers Vivaldi, Bach and Mozart.

I also get off on MoTown tunes from the 1960s and 70s. I like old-school singers such as Ray Charles, Louis Armstrong, Andy Williams, Frank Sinatra, Bing Crosby, Johnny Cash, Tom Jones, Elvis Presley, The Carpenters and Ed Ames (especially his 1967 hit “My Cup Runneth Over with Love”).

“Pride in the Name of Love” by U2 is one of my favorite songs. Most songs by the late, great Selena move my heart to dance. I also enjoy Prince, Madonna, Alannah Myles, Loreena McKennitt, Beyoncé, Evanescence, Pink, Melissa Etheridge, Sarah McLachlan, Mariah Carey, Shania Twain, Enya and so many others.

Additionally, I love tropical Latin music such a Salsa, Cumbia and Merengue.
