..Diana Anaid - Live At The Bush Theatre..
"Anaid is loved by fans for writing honest, emotional lyrics and this acoustic performance shows they're right. With just her voice and an acoustic guitar, Anaid's lyrics come to the fore, forcing you to pay attention to them. Whether it's Perfect Family, a bittersweet yet angry break-up song, or the story of a one night stand gone somewhat wrong in Piece Of Me, the lyrics are worth listening to on their own. And the acoustic guitar comes across as the perfect accompaniment to what can be raw, heartfelt songs. Go buy it."
Glen Humphries, Illawarra Mercury, March 2007
“COOLER THAN ANI FROM THE BEGINNING: HER VOICE LOUDER, GUTS REDDER. DIANA ANAID MIGHT BE THE COVER GIRL FOR SELF-MADE, HEARTWARMING, GUT-VOMITING INDIE CHICKS.†EMMA PEARSE, VILLIAGE VOICE USA
The fiercely original and independent singer/songwriter Diana Anaid burst onto the Australian music scene with the brazen acoustic track ‘I Go Off’’, but it was her second CD ‘ I Don’t Think I’m Pregnant’ that shook off any one hit wonder tags and secured her a fifth ARIA nomination as well as her second inclusion in Triple J’s Hottest 100 compilation CD ( ‘Perfect Family’).
After many successful Aussie tours and festivals, as well as awesome press coverage, Diana released her third CD, ‘Beautiful Obscene’ through US independent record company Five Crowns and had the fortune of having ‘Last Thing’ become a run away hit in the US, becoming Itunes 7th pop song of the year.
Singing since she could walk, writing songs at nine and picking up the guitar at fourteen, Diana used music as an out let for her abusive childhod. After losing her mum when she was a baby and her dad going to jail more than once, she had a lot to write about.
Diana settled down as a teenager in the hippie commune of Tuntable Falls near Nimbin, northern NSW, and her first CD was sponsored by a member of Greenpeace,. Released when she was nineteen and with young son Stone in tow, even if it weren’t for how involved Diana was in her community and charitable events, you could tell the petite vegan was a believe in ‘Peace, love and brown rice,’
After five years in Sydney and another four years traveling between Australia and USA, in 2007 Diana formed her own record company “Forola Music’, and released an anticipated Live, solo CD, Live At The Bush Theatre, followed by the single ‘Cheatin On Me’
A pioneer of acoustic female indie rock, Diana Anaid has become one of Australia’s most admired musicians, as well as forging a unique and respectable path in the fickle music industry, whilst gaining an increasing fanbase through her integrity and originality.
The new offering from Diana is ‘Cnical On Waking’, from her forthcoming self titled Cd, its co-produced by Diana and will please old fans and new,

I play electric guitar in Diana Anaid's band and co-write with Diana on some songs, check out Blaring Out and Beautiful Obscene, a couple of our co-written songs from our recent CD of the same name, Beautiful Obscene.
I have been rocking out on electric for my whole life, and have a fucking fun time playing it on stage, with the music deafeningly loud.
My musical taste is varied as long as it's fucked up i would usually like it...Di and I started an indie record company in 2007, Forola, and we are constantly on the look out for unique and talented emerging bands.
