Karen N. Tinley A.K.A. "Va'da" is ready to set the industry a blaze. Music was set in her heart from birth. Her destiny was designed for her to be a massive force in the entertainment field. Va'da started creating songs at an early age not knowing that freestyling silly songs during her elementary classes would blossom into a career in music. What used to cause her detentions now grabs everyones attention. Things got serious around the age of 16. Va'da linked up with a local producer to get her first taste of the studio and has been hooked ever since. A couple years later through a mutual friend she met some young talented kids with whom she found a musical home. She sang and wrote hooks for some time until she met a producer/engineer who felt that she should be doing more. The producer worked with Va'da to create her first demo. From that came more meetings and more sessions with producers in the NJ/NY area. Although Va'da is no longer with that company, she made many connections and formed relationships with some established and Grammy nominated producers.
As she continued to grow and learn her craft, she met her current manager, Arnette Phipps for EtteN Management Firm. Arnette saw a bigger picture for Va'da and has been working to help make her a force to be reckoned with on the Music and Film scene. Together they formed music and film production companies (which will begin public functions mid 2008). Through Arnette's hustle, she met Big 7 who put her in contact with K-Mack and Bless of Soul Diggaz Productions. That's when things started to pick up. Va'da received her first major placement on the Barber Shop 2 soundtrack with 2 songs performed by Olivia of G-Unit: "Private Party" and "All". Even better, "Private Party" was selected to be in 2 scenes of the movie. So Va'da kept writing and singing. She did numerous songs for signed and unsigned artists. In the meantime, she did 2 records for Pras of the Fugees on his sophomore solo release. Her vocals can be heard alongside Akon, Wyclef, and Pras on "Mr. Martin". Va'da is currently working on a few projects with her manager/business partner slated to shake up the artist pool for 2009. Suprises are in the works. Producer|Artist|Writer|Executive.
