About Me

My goals are to inform people about medical marijuana and how to obtain authorization. I hope to provide current accurate information, and patient networking. I have been a medical marijuana patient since October of 2006. I had a accident in 1996 that changed my life, I broke my hip and wasn't able to walk for almost a year, since then i have had four hip surgeries, if it were not for cannabis i would still be on hydro's and morphine and be useless to my family and in everyday life. In 1997 the voters of the state of Washington overwhelmingly passed Initiative 692 which allowed qualifying patients to use medical marijuana to relieve their conditions. In 1998 the legislature passed the Washington Medical Marijuana Act. This law allowes patients to possess and grow medical marijuana. It also allows a patient to assign growing responsibilities to a "designated provider" who can legally grow medication for the patient. It is legal for any Washington licensed physician to write a recommendation for medical marijuana for thier patients, however, most doctors are still uncomfortable signing these authoriztions. While many doctorshave seen for themselves that medical marijuana actually works for their patients they are often concerned about attracting the attention of the Drug Enforcement Agency. If your doctor is willing to consider writing you a recommendation we'll be happy to provide him with all the legal information that he or she needs, along with the forms necessary to complete the process. If you have a qualifying condition and your doctor will not sign a recommendation for you. or you don't feel that you can discuss this with your particular physician, please contact us and we'll be happy to help you!! I am working on bringing more doctors into Spokane that are knowledgeable about medical marijuana and sympathetic to their patients.
