About Me

There was a time in my life when music became the venue choice that I had decided upon, and I was well on my way to realizing that very goal in college. During a crucial 2 year period, though, I came to the conclusion that I would not make music my career and keep it a hobby close to my heart, fearing that making it an everyday way to earn a living might eventually damage my deep love for it. I don't regret my choice, and I hope to take more time to express myself creatively through it again. What you listen to on this page represents some of what I can accomplish musically. It's a family legacy that I'm very proud of.
By the way, the music (all of it) and voice you hear (Higher Ground) is all me and my Ensoniq SQ-2 synthesizer. It's an older board, but it's still one of the best. The keyboard sequencing and mixing was done on-board with no external effects modulation.
My dream when I was younger was to score music for television programming, which is why a lot of my work is instrumental. Aquaspheres consists of 3 movements (Tempest, Sub-level, & Dolphin Race) which is why it's 10 minutes long. Sit back, close your eyes, and listen!

Just me!

Influences:

I love all types of music, so I've been influenced immeasureably...from Mozart to Stevie to Tesh to Tangerine Dream to Boston to Ozzy. The list goes on forever, and that doesn't even include the music of my latin roots here in El Paso...

I've always enjoyed tinkering with pictures, and below are some samples of what I can do. I usually try to do something creative for any new myspace friends I make.

Photoshopped Pic 1 - Hi, Viv! This is a fun one I made for Vivianna since she loves Depeche Mode. Now she's part of the band...

Photoshopped Pic 2 - Pinkie's Crew in "Cancun." The ladies took this shot in a parking lot, but I figured they should have a nice vacation and so I put them here where the air is fresh and the water sparkles...

Photoshopped Pic 3 - This one I made for Lisette. Challenging work, but pretty results...

Photoshopped Pic 4 - This one features Tammy Jane . Psychadelically pretty, don't you think?

Photoshopped Pic 5 - My cousin, Welch, is the last guy on the left. He didn't originally appear on this pic, but let's just say I put him there for his girlfriends to enjoy. That's his real tattoo, and he got quite a good response from his myspace "fans."

Photoshopped Pic 6 - For this last one, I'm proud to announce that Shady , on the right, brought her pal Stephen to her book signing at Barnes & Noble. This snapshot was taken to commemorate the event. Way to go, Shady!

Sounds Like:

The music ranges from New Age to Ambient to Rock---I love it all, so my music shows that pretty well...

This is what I look like when you're on mushrooms...
