In 1999, Marcelo Batistella, stimulated for friends gave beginning to the dream of living playing heavy metal, and his life’s project was baptized “Death Slave”.After tests and usual line up changes in the career’s beginning the band made a lot of shows that had been the first step in search of an objective that after would be reached, to record the first cd.
Called “Fire Warrior” the cd was released of independent form in January of 2001 with great influences of 80’s heavy metal; with a not so good spreading, the cd had national and international repercussion in specialized media, divulged in countries of the Europe and also in Japan, carrying through during 2001 and 2002 the “Fire Tour”, presented this first work. In 2002, after line up changes, the band recorded one single “The Shadow of Death” contends two new music, a previous one of what the new formation wanted to show.
After a long time dedicated to the new album’s production and resisting the years, the “Slaves” came back to record in 2005 the EP called of “Sea of Dreams”. It was a small sample of musical evolution of the band, creating great expectation for what was for coming. In summer of 2005 they had started the recordings of the new album, “Valley of Mirror”, based on religious wars histories and the consequences that it ‘cause in the world-wide society.
Nowadays, sounding the 80’s NWOBHM heavy metal bands with hard rock and progressive influences, the band is finishing the recordings of the new album and invites you to know something more ‘bout their stuff.
BIOGRAFIA
Em 1999, Marcelo Batistella, estimulado por amigos deu início ao sonho de viver tocando heavy metal, e seus projetos de vida foram batizados de "Death Slave". Após mudanças comuns na formação e testes, a banda fez um começo com muitos shows que foram os primeiros passos na busca de um objetivo a ser alcançado: gravar o primeiro cd.
Chamado de "Fire Warrior" o cd foi lançado de forma independete em Janeiro de 2001 com grandes influências no hevay metal oitentista. Mesmo com uma fraca divulgação, o cd teve repercusão nas mídias especializadas nacional e internacional, divulgado em países da Europa e também do Japão. Carregado pela "Fire Tour" em 2001 e 2002, "Fire Warrior" foi apresentado como primeiro trabalho da banda. Em 2002, após mudanças de formação, a banda gravou um single chamando "The Shadow of Death" contendo duas músicas, uma prévia do que estaria por vir e do que a nova formação queria mostrar.
Após um longo período dedicando-se ao novo álbum e resistindo aos anos, os "Slaves" voltaram em estúdio em 2005 para gravar o EP chamado de "Sea of Dreams". Era um pequeno exemplo da evolução musical da banda, criando uma grande expectativa para o que iria vir. No verão de 2005 começaram as gravações para o novo álbum, "Valley of Mirror", baseado em histórias de guerras religiosas e consequências que elas causam a sociedade no mundo todo.
Hoje, soando como a 80s NWOBHM bandas de heavy metal com hard rock e influências progressivas, a banda finaliza suas gravações do novo álbum e convida você a conhecer um pouco mais sobre sua história e música.
