GT FLAVA

Born on Jan 1st 1986 in Georgetown Guyana, Astria moved to Edmonton Alberta in 2000 in hopes of pursuing a better life. Having difficulties adjusting to her new enviroment, Astria started writing poetry at age 15 to escape the agony of her unfamiliar surrounding. She spent most of her days at home or at school. After viewing much music after school, Astria was inspired to extend her poetry into versus, and later began writing multiple songs. Astria decided to recored some of her written materials. At age 18, Astria recorded her first song at a local studio. Impressed by the response given by her peers, Astria began multiple recordings and later performing at local events.
