Nicki Skrilla is a one-woman army of funky ingenuity, creative evolution and independance. Writing her own material and playing for over 5 years, she wants to maintain a grassroots feel but influence on a universal level. At the moment, the studio consists of a set up in her northside studio apt, a $10 computer mic and a free music recording program on a Dell laptop that does just fine to get the bridge gapped between you out there and her in here. Green with capabilities galore, Skrilla was never an alias picked to mean 'forever broke', so if expectations are kept minimal, nothing but the best can surface from a young woman's soul spilling over to wash the world with her perspective and flavor. Some green would be nice too, she needs a new bike.
Nicki's gonna be working on some REAL recording in the coming months, keep your ears out for her 1st LP!!
