BIOGRAFIE
Jah Generation is een jong reggaecollectief, gevormd uit 6 gemotiveerde Gentenaren. Ze begonnen in 2006 als een eenmalige grap maar ondertussen beschikken ze reeds over een noemenswaardig repertoire dat volledig bestaat uit eigen nummers. Om de wereld te redden van zichzelf, het onheil te bestrijden en het brandende vuur der overwinning over te dragen aan de hongerige zielen van deze aardkloot, betreden ze gaarne het podium, als ware het hun levensdoel en eindbestemming. Ze zijn eveneens de winnaars van het Jonge Wolven-concours waardoor ze de eer kregen de Gentse Feesten van 2008 te openen en de geesten der omstaanders te verruimen. Ondertussen proberen ze ook nog eens hun debuutalbum te creëren. Het zal een prachtig staaltje moderne reggae worden met invloeden uit verschillende genres, maar trouw gebleven aan de Heimat, Jah, hun voorgangers en aan zichzelf. Kijk uit: het album komt met rasse schreden jouw richting uit!
BIOGRAPHY
Jah Generation is a young and motivated six-man reggaeband from Ghent. In 2006 they started as a joke but today they already have a considerable repertoir of own songs. To protect the world of itself, to conquer, fight and triumph over Evil and to carry over the flames of victory to the hungry souls walking this patch of land, they gladly take the stage, as it were their destiny and end-goal in life. They won the 'Jonge Wolven' (Young wolves? LIONS!) music contest 2007, which gave them the privilege to open the Ghent Festival 2008 and free the minds of bystanders. In the mean time they also try to make their debute album. It will be a beautiful piece of reggae-music, influenced by many genres, but remaining faithful to their Heimat, Jah, their predecessors, and themselves. Better watch out fi back: The album is coming with enormous strides.
