I work as a writer to earn a living but I in the last year or so have spent all my spare time making art. Some of the art is posted on a blog (http://jameskaufmanncollages.blogspot.com) but most of it is not. I have 3 dogs and 2 grade school age kids and I am taking the one class at a time approach at The University of Iowa's Art Department. I read all the time, enjoy working out, and am working hard these days on a show I'm guest curating at TAG Art Gallery in Nashville, TN. The show opens March 3, 2007.
