Woodshed Productions, has been pushing out skate videos now for about 6 years. It all started when Gareth Evans started making skate videos in the West Wales skate scene in sunny Haverfordwest. Which then expanded to Cardiff in 2003 for the release of black steel. Black Steel showcased skaters from West Wales through to Cardiff with some appearences of skaters from, Bath, Bristol, London, Bridgend etc....
Following the success of Black steel came the filming for the next project which bacame known as 'THE HORROR'.
The Horror was finaly premiered in May 2006 in Cardiff to a healthy crowd of local and non local crew. The 'three years' of filming proved usefull in producing a video that featured pretty much every skater from Newport to Haverfordwest, including pretty much the whole Cardiff scene. Also featuring some heads from Bristol and Bath once again!!
I am Pleased to say that The Horror is now available in shops in and around Cardiff and Haverfordwest. (7 months after the premier).
The most recent project saw the colaberation with Australian surf head and actor Rich Norton, which resulted in an epic surf trip last september, to the south of france and spain surfing many breaks and filming as many basque rippers as humanly possible!! Ending with the first two days of the Quicksilver Pro in Hossegor. The main breaks featured in the film are, Lafentinia, Cavaliers, Mundaka, Laga Beach, Guethary Harbour and Hossegor. Featuring Andy Irons, Kelly Slater, 'Occy', Taj Burrow, Joel Parkinson, Mick Fanning, Corey Lopez, Tom Curren, and much more!!!!
Should be hitting the shops real soon so keep your eyes peeled for 'Trim & Proper'.
In the future - We are already working on another skate video which we are looking to finish by spring/summer 2007. Another surf video of sorts, (maybe Hawaii next year) and maybe a snowboarding project?
Basically, who knows, so keep posted and let us know if you have any genius suggestions!!!
