Music:

I listen to a lot of different music, such as Classical, Jazz, Easy Listening,old school R and B and Rock and Roll. I have way too many CDs, and often suprise friends as to what is in my collection. I love the discovery and sharing of new music! Much like my CD collection, I have way too many DVDs.I love comedies, drama, foreign and independent films. I especially love satire. Movies that I really love, and include in no special order are:American Beauty, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Finding Neverland, Garden State, Napolean Dynamite, Ran, Kagemusha, Dogma, Doctor Zhivago, Gladiator, 300, Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Barbarians at the Gate, My Life Without Me, The Holy Grail, The Last Kiss,The Meaning of Life, Kingdom of Heaven, Donnie Darko, Love Actually, Kill Bill Vols I & II, Pulp Fiction, Babel, The Science of Sleep, Once Upon A Time in Mexico, Borat,Edward Scissorhands, Casablanca, Something About Mary, Serendipity (I know, it is sappy crappy, but I do want to believe that love could happen that way) Crash, The Namesake,Field of Dreams. Almost anything from Ingmar Bergman, Akira Kurosawa, Quentin Tarrantino, and Kevin Smith... and so much more!

Television:

I generally rely on television only for the news and weather. Ocassionally, I enjoy documentaries, The History Channel, Law & Order, Sponge Bob Square Pants, sitcoms and Comedy Central offerings. I prefer Leno over Letterman. For laughs, I like Seinfeld, Everybody Loves Raymond, Friends, The Simpsons, South Park, and The Dave Chappelle Show...

Books:

I generally read books that concerns the meaning of life, and our authentic selves. I read a lot of books on Buddhism, Christian mystics, Philosophy, Poetry, and History. Like CDs and DVDs, I have too many books!

Heroes:

Jesus Christ, Moses, Joseph the Carpenter, Shakyumuni Buddha, Abraham Lincoln, Ulysses Grant, Martin Luther King, Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Thomas Merton, Henri Nouwen, Kahlil Gibran, Seung Sahn, Martin Luther, Dalai Lama, Mohatma Gandhi, Mother Theresa, Me, All Saints and Bodhisattvas. Those who get knocked down, but keep getting back up, sometimes again, and again...
