About Me

I've been playing the guitar for nearly 20 years and have always enjoyed a wide variety of music. I've studied Classical, Flamenco, and other styles though seem to always enjoy creating music that is influenced by multiple sources. The music featured on this site is from an acoustic group that I have called, Beyond Melroze. "Winter" is a piece that was inspired by...winter! It is meant to be a sort of tonal poem, with various musical sections/effects that evoke the winter months. "Did I Ever Tell You?" was inspired by the devastating tsunami that hit Southeast Asia. I wrote the song after seeing a photo of two parents holding their child who did not survive..the powerful image reminded me of just how frail and transitory life can be. Luckily, my wife sang the tune, because my vocal performance would have been a disaster by itself. I have added a couple of songs that are still in the basic demo phase. Muerto de Amor is a Flamenco-esque piece of music and the Untitled piece is in a Classical guitar style.
