About Me

Really fast, fun, heavy punk pop from UK, laden with kooky breaks, electronica and vocal interplay. Strong songs played at pace and with an unbridled energy and enviable dexterity, and sometimes accordion. But not in a shit way! Hard to make out the breakneck lyrics but they seem political and with everything else that's going on, you hardly care. If their stage show is half as fun as this EP, they'll go far! 9/10 Demo of the Month! - Metal Hammer (Nov 2007)
"Like most bands, Protohero started off as unknowns and played gig after gig in an effort to make a name for themselves. Barely a year later and they have blossomed into one of the North East's most promising talents. Drawing influences from every genre under the sun ( that shines down so favourably upon them), Protohero weild powerpop with the distinction of Millencolin. This is catchy punk rock that will bury its barbs in your brain, and you'll be damn grateful. These are going to be fighting the labels off with a large crooked stick." - Blackglass.co.uk
"This is one of the bands Im keeping an eye on I hope to hear more in the future!" - 4/5 EP Review by Dieshellsuit.co.uk
"Protohero could become Nine Black Alps' biggest rivals!!" - Repeatfanzine.co.uk
"Primarily the band like to push the accelerator pedal down and once 'Great Cock Fights of the Fifteenth Century' gets going the band sound all the better for it... they get the thumbs up from me for trying not to be a US clone. Protohero sound a little different from your average Joes and they're worth checking out..." - puntastic.com
"Tu Madre, 4/5!!" - Punk and oi in the UK
"...with their awesome selection of originals, perfectly executed riffs and a sensational overall sound, Protohero are the ones to watch in 2006." - Blue Tint Music Promotion

WILL HAS PARTED WITH PROTOHERO!

Hey guys, just will saying that I will no longer be playing with Protohero. I have decided that the direction Protohero was taking musically was not for me. There are no personal issues; I'd just like...
